  • How to watch The Open at Belton

As of this writing (and we don’t expect this to change) the event is in PDGA/DGPT Phase 1 covid precautions. Given the nature of The Open Course and its wide open viewing areas we are able to grant access badges to a limited number of spectators. Once on the course the badge holders will be restricted to designated viewing areas and expected to social distance and be masked up.

The limited badge holders are players from the amateur side of the event, pro players & a support person, city officials, sponsors, vendors and staff.

If you are not a player, staff, vendor or sponsor and would like to see some of the action at the park there will be a viewing area outside the restricted course. From the viewing area, running completely along hole 10, five holes are clearly visible.

If you would like to staff we are still looking for a few more folks, especially if we know you can be on site in position for an entire day(s). If you are available please email theopendgc@nealdambra.com

Another way to watch the finals live is on Disc Golf Network at www.discgolfnetwork.com. The Disc Golf Pro Tour will be following the top two cards of MPO and the FPO on Sunday, March 21 starting around 1:30 pm. Disc Golf Network is a subscription service and offers a substantial discount for PDGA members.

    Securrity

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Chris Ware and the Double R Disc Golf Club who will be our security crew. They will be making sure everyone on The Open Course has fun, stays safe and are where they are supposed to be. Most importantly they will assure the players feel comfortable so they can put on great show for all the disc golf fans around the world who will be watching.

We are also pleased to have the Belton CHIPS citizen patrol supplementing our security along with regular patrols by the BPD.

Please note alcohol is not permitted at Heritage Park.
